New Abortion Medication Restrictions Speak Out
Mifepristone is a prescription medication used in combination with another prescription called misoprostol to terminate a pregnancy. This combination of medications has been used in nearly all medication abortions in the United States for the past 23 years.
In 2016 the FDA expanded Mifepristone usage from 7 weeks up to 10 weeks gestational age. As of 04/13/2023 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit states Mifepristone will remain approved for use up to only 7 weeks gestational age (7 weeks pregnant) while legal states sit and wait for Biden and SCOTUS' response.
In addition, the ruling also states mifepristone can no longer be sent in the mail, at least for now.
Several states led by Democratic Governors have begun stockpiling both medications in the event that access is disrupted.
Though a pregnancy can be terminated via just the usage of Misoprostol, the medication combination is most effective.

PROTEST Anti-Abortionists in Springfield! - by CFAR
Illinois is a relative beacon for reproductive rights, honoring abortion rights, early childhood education, LGBTQ rights, and other basic rights far more than the states around us.
Anti-abortionists hate that. They want to shut down abortion rights in Illinois and hence throughout the Midwest, busing in anti-abortion zealots from around the region to our state capital, Springfield, for a demonstration on Tuesday, March 21.
We must counter their demonstration with our "PRO-abortion rights" and "pro-full reproductive rights" messages! This struggle is not only important for preserving our rights throughout Illinois, but for sending a message of solidarity to reproductive rights defenders in the states around us and beyond!
We invite you to join us in sending this important message! We will gather at 11 am on Tuesday, March 21, at the state capitol, corner of E. Monroe and S. 2nd Streets in Springfield.

We are excited to announce that MARRCH and The Women’s March are holding this year's “Bigger than Roe” national mobilization event in Madison, Wisconsin on January 22, 2023! MARRCH is a grass roots coalition combined of Dane County residents dedicated to fight for bodily autonomy, abortion on demand and reproductive rights for everyone who can become pregnant!
MARRCH will be hosting a community oriented rally and march beginning at 11AM at Library Mall with the march starting at 12PM at Lake and State Street. The march will proceed down State Street to the national mobilization event at the Capitol with the rally & speak-out beginning at 1PM in the Capitol Rotunda.
